Building collapses in Korangi, at least 5 injured

A residential building collapsed in Korangi, Karachi on Thursday. Five people have been injured at least and there are fears that people may be stuck underneath the rubble.

It was three to four floor building and it was located in Allahwala Town. Five injured people were pulled out from beneath the rubble.

Rescue teams and the police are at the scene and moving people away. They are lifting rubble to find people beneath it. It has not been confirmed that there were people in the building at the time of the collapse.

The SBCA had declared the building was dangerous and the residents were sent the eviction notices but they did not leave the building.

Machinery has been called in order to remove the rubble. Residents are helping search for survivors.
