Coronavirus outbreak: 9 deaths confirmed in Pakistan, taking the affected toll to 1302 all over the country

On Friday, another death was reported in Punjab and few fresh cases of coronavirus, which raise the nationwide death rate to 9, whereas the infected rate is 1302.

Earlier, eight new cases were reported in Sindh in the country in which 7 were in Karachi and 1 was in Hyderabad, raising the provincial poll to 421.

Moreover, a fresh case were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir which took the total cases in the region to 2.

There were 7 new cases reported in Gilgit-Baltistan, taking its toll to 91.

Furthermore, 5 new cases had also been reported in Islamabad by the national dashboard, raising the poll to 25.

In the meantime, In Balochistan 12 fresh cases were reported, the provincial talky is raised to 131.

As per the report by the KP Health Department, 43 new cases were reported in KP and toll has raised to 121.

Deaths from virus

Punjab has reported its first death due to coronavirus on Tuesday.

On Sunday, first death in Balochistan was recorded of a 65-year-old man, who had been admitted at the Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital and was going through a treatment.

Earlier, a doctor from Gilgit Baltistan was reported as the fifth casualty who had been fighting against the virus on the frontlines.

On Sunday, 22 March, the country’s fourth death from the virus was announced by the Adviser to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information Ajmal Wazir.

On March 20, third death was recorded by the Pakistan. The death of a 77-year-old COVID-19 patient in the province, was confirmed by the Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho.

The country’s first two deaths were reported by the two patients from KPK who tested positive for the coronavirus.
