Marriyum Aurangzeb’s apartment at Parliament Lodges caught severe fire

ISLAMABAD: On 17 February 2020 Monday night, PML-N leader and spokeswoman Marriyum Aurangzeb’s apartment on the third floor of Parliament lodges caught the, resulted in serious damages to the apartment, confirmed by the police officials.

Abrar Shah, MNA PPP also approved her statement about the fire saying that the smoke completely filled the third floor and we can not breathe properly.

He also informed that Marriyum Aurangzeb’s house was 80 percent burnt.

On Tuesday, the director of the Parliament Lodges spoke to the media saying that we have been informed about the fire at 11.35 pm, last night. We immediately called the department to extinguish it. Moreover, Marriyum has also been rescued by two of our employees, and no serious injuries have happened to her, and the origin of the fire was not revealed yet. 

According to an employee, the fire started geyser placed in the terrace however it was early to say anything about how it started.

On Tuesday, Saleem Mandviwala, the deputy chairman Senate visited Parliament Loges to observe the damage. He further said that he also met MNA Tahira Aurangzeb, Marriyum’s mother to make sure they were safe. He thanked Allah as there were no casualties.
