Naqeebullah Mehsud’s father passed away amid court battle with Rao Anwar

RAWALPINDI: The father of Naqeebullah Mehsud passed away at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rawalpindi on Monday.
The father of Naqeebullah Mehsud, Muhammad Khan was suffering from cancer. He was admitted in Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for the previous six to seven months. Muhammad Khan was fighting a court battle over bringing the killers of his son Naqeebullah Mehsud to justice.
Body of the deceased would be sent to Waziristan. Naqeebullah Mehsud was falsely killed in Karachi by SSP Rao Anwar and his team. After that, the father of Naqeeb had led a movement for a trial of Anwar and his team.
Khan Mohammad had said earlier this year, “I want justice for my son.” He added that he was thankful to those who had stood along with him in order to seek justice for the murder of his son.
A jirga (tribal assembly of elders) of the Mehsud tribe had camped in the metropolis’ Sohrab Goth vicinity to stand with the father of the slain man.
The father of Naqeebullah said the entire country was saddened by the killing of his son. He had said “It was Naqeebullah’s wish that his son would serve in the Pakistan Army someday”.
