The foreign ministry of India said late Monday that it was aware of remarks of President of United States Donald Trump on the issue of Kashmir but that “no such request has been made by [Prime Minister Narendra Modi] to US President”.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Raveesh Kumar, said in a statement that “We have seen @POTUS’s remarks to the press that he is ready to mediate, if requested by India & Pakistan, on Kashmir issue. No such request has been made by PM @narendramodi to US President.
