ICC WorldCup 2019: India won the match against Bangladesh by 28 runs

London: India won the match in ICC WorldCup 2019 against Bangladesh by 28 runs.

India won the toss and decided to bat first as the match started at the Edgbaston cricket ground.

In the first innings, openers took the charge and hit every ball outside the ground resulted in 77 by Rahul and 104 by Rohit Sharma. Virat Kohli made 24 runs while Pant scored 48. Pandya didn’t score any run.

MS Dhoni didn’t show the game he was known for and thus only added 35 runs to the total. Dinesh Kartik who made his comeback after almost 10 years scored only 8 runs. Bhuvneshwar scored 2, Shami scored only a single while Bumrah didn’t score any runs as the team set the target of 314 runs.

From Bangladeshi side, M. Rahman took 5 wickets Shakib, R. Hossein and S. Sarkar took one wicket each.

In the second innings, openers held out an average pace as Tamim Iqbal 22 and S. Sarkar scored 33 runs. Shakib scored the prominent 66 runs while Mushfiqur Raheem scored 24 runs.

L. Das scored 22, M. Hossein 3 and S. Rehman 36 runs. M. Mortaza scored 8 while R. Hossein scored 9 runs. M. Saifuddin at 51 remained not out.

From Indian side J. Bumrah caught 4, Pandya 3 while Shami, Kumar and Chahal took one each
