RIYADH: On Friday, the importance of increasing cultural ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is emphasized by Fawad Chaudhry- the Information Minister and he said that the the services of local artists, actors and directors can be utilised by the kingdom.
In Riyadh, it was said by the Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry while speaking to the media that, “The cultural revival of Saudi Arabia is fully supported by Pakistan.”
While stating that “The Indus civilisation of Pakistan is more than 5,000 years old and we have a diversified and rich cultural history”, it was said by Chaudhry that, “Our institutions of culture and performing arts are well established and they are ready to extend cooperation to Saudi Arabia. The services of expert calligraphers, artists, directors and film actors of Pakistan can be utilised by the kingdom.”
Fawad Chaudhry urged that the Saudi Arabia is keen to increase cultural ties with Pakistan. “Next month, there will be festival in Saudi Arabia organised by Pakistan and large number of Pakistani expatriates will be going to attend it,” added by him.
“It was requested to Saudi Airlines to provide Pakistani dramas and films in Saudi Arabia with Arabic dubbing,” shared by the information minister.
Moreover, it also said that “Since the government of Imran Khan that is Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf came into power, the relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have been improving.”
Visa restrictions for Saudi nationals was recently waived by Pakistan. It is hoped by Pakistan that a large number of Saudi tourists will visit Pakistan to “experience the scenic beauty of northern areas and other cultural places in the country”, stated by Fawad Chaudhry.
He further said that, “There are two million Pakistanis that live in Saudi Arabia, they play an important role in the national economy. “
It was said by the information minister while appreciating what Saudi Arabia did in the recent tension between Pakistan and India that, “Saudi Arabia is a genuine well-wisher of Pakistan”.
