It’s a dream come true; says Husnain as he recieved Pakistan’s green cap

SHARJAH: The rise of Mohammad Hasnain in Pakistan is quite fast. He made a debut in one-day international while playing for Quetta Gladiators to the Pakistan Super League.

He has recieved Pakistan’s green cap from Mickey Arthur- the head coach at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

It was said by him to the media that, “I can’t describe the feeling, it’s a dream come true.”

He further added that, “It has been a great feeling and everyone has welcomed me. I hope to be up for the challenge and hope to start a long career.”

There was an instant impact made by Husnain in PSL, 2019. His capability of bowling at 150kph caught the attention of everybody.

The selectors laing with Arthur were so impresed that Hasnain was rewarded with a place in the national team. He won the man-of-the-match award in his biggest match.

It was said by Arthur that, “The most inpressive thing is his pace and he has the potential of an international player.”

“The reaction of my parent was surprised. They gave me advice to be humble and do my best, that was followed by me,” said by Husnain.

Husnain is tall, earthy complexioned player who began playing at a young age. His talent was spotted by region coach Iqbal Imam.

Husnain has been played for Hyderabad Under-16 and Under-19. He has been inlressive with his pace right from the start.

It was said by Imam- the former first-class cricketer thay, “Hasnain is a product of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s age-group cricket.”

Last year, Husnain was selected by Islamabad United but was not able to play HBL PSL 2018 due to injury.

This year, in HBL PSL 2019, he was selwcted by Quetta Gladiators as 21st player. He has been number-one player since then as far as the emerging talent is concerned.

Waqar Yonis seen himself in Hasnain. It was said by him that, “At this age, I had the same pace. He is very talented and determined. I wish him the best of luck.”
