No Indian movie will be released in Pakistan: Fawad Chaudhry

Islamabad: On Tuesday Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry said that the Cinema Exhibitors Association had decided to boycott Indian films in the country, after Indian jets violated Pakistani airspace.

“In light of the prevailing situation, and in solidarity with the Government, the Film Exhibitors fraternity has volunteered to focus on local content till the normalization of the current situation in the region,” said Zoraiz Lashari, the chairperson of the All Pakistan Exhibitors Association.

The minister said that he had also instructed the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Association (Pemra) to act against advertisements made in India.
