First phase of investment worth $20 billion completed, says Saudi Crown Prince

ISLAMABAD: The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman informed that the first phase of investment worth $20 billion has been completed in Pakistan.

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman paid a two day visit to Pakistan and he thus reached Islamabad today on the invitation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman attended a ceremony to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia at the Prime Minister house. The Saudi Crown Prince said that the investment worth $20 billion would prove to be fruitful for both Pakistan as well as for the Kingdom.

The Crown Prince further added that the leadership of Pakistan is impressive and the future of the country seems quite bright.

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman said that this visit is his first visit to Asia after becoming the Crown Prince. He further added that Pakistan is the First country he has visited in Asia.

Prince Mohammad Bin Salman said that Pakistan is among the crucial countries for Saudi Arabia and further added that he was very pleased to visit Pakistan.

The Crown Prince further said that the kingdom would be investing more in the country.

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman was further requested by the Prime Minister of Pakistan to relieve immigration process for Haj pilgrims from Pakistan and further requested to release 3,000 Pakistanis in Saudi prisons. On this request, the Prime Minister Imran Khan was ensured by Prince Mohammad Bin Salman of every form of cooperation in this regard.

Meanwhile, the Finance Minister of Pakistan Asad Umar also met the Minister of Saudi Arabia for Energy Khalid Al-Faleh where he discussed the ventures of investment.

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman was given a warm welcome upon his arrival to Pakistan. After reaching Pakistan, the Saudi Crown Prince was driven by in car to the PM house by the Prime Minister Imran Khan himself. The Saudi Crown Prince was presented a guard of honor there.

At the Prime Minister House, Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) was signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in diverse sectors. The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan witnessed the ceremony.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan addressed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)-signing ceremony. In the ceremony, he said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have always enjoyed brotherly relations. He further added that “Saudi Arabia always stood beside Pakistan in difficult times.”

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan further said that the cooperation between both the countries needs to be extended in petrochemicals, tourism, and other fields.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan added that “We are taking Pak-Saudi ties to its zenith.” He continued that the relationship between two countries would reach new heights in near future.
