ISLAMABAD: On Sunday Jan 27th, a woman was arrested in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan with a hand grenade in her bag as she attempted to enter the Pakistani consulate which was confirmed by the officials of consulate.
The visa service has been suspended at the consulate until Afghan officials facilitate the consulate with bomb proof security, as it has been shut down by the officials.
Foreign office stated Pakistani consulate should be provided full security by the Afghan government
This unfortunate incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of foreign office which was reported to the Afghan foreign ministry.
Over this incident, an inquiry is also demanded by the foreign office and the Pakistani counterpart have been informed about the actions taken on it.
This incident has occurred, just when US and Taliban officials have signaled developments after talks in Doha.
